Three Nevada Companies Receive Expansion Assistance

The Nevada Commission on Economic Development approved tax abatements and deferrals Monday for three companies that are planning to add 117 jobs in Clark and Lyon Counties.

The recipients were:

  • Gaming Laboratories International, which tests gaming devices for jurisdictions throughout the world, and plans to add 60 engineers and 20 support staff to its Las Vegas testing facility at an average hourly wage of $20 and a total capital investment of $322,600. The Nevada Development Authority aided Gaming Laboratories with its expansion.
  • Rice Lake Weighing System, an international leader in the manufacturing and distribution of weight-related products and process-control equipment, plans to add 27 jobs at its Fernley manufacturing facility at an average hourly wage of $14.81 and a total capital investment of $2.03 million. The Northern Nevada Development Authority aided Rice Lake with its expansion.
  • Vadatech Inc., which produces processing, communication and storage boards for the aerospace and telecommunications industries, plans to add 10 jobs at its Henderson manufacturing plant at an average wage of $27.64 and a total capital investment of $5.4 million. The Nevada Development Authority aided Vadatech with its expansion.
