The Governor's Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee was established by Governor Sandoval's Executive Order 2015-09 to identify and prioritize tourism improvement projects in southern Nevada and suggest and identify funding mechanisms for these projects. The Committee will: evaluate existing public and private convention facilities and assess and prioritize the need to revitalize existing facilities and construct new facilities; assess public and private entertainment facilities, including planned sports stadiums and large entertainment facilities, and make recommendations regarding the need and viability of new facilities; evaluate current tourism related transportation modes and infrastructure, including airport facilities, public and private mass transit, and transportation infrastructure, and identify areas of need and recommendations for improvements; and identify and analyze funding for tourism infrastructure improvement projects.
